Beacock Music Company has been listed as one of the TOP 200 Music Stores in the nation since 1999!  Over 8,000 music stores are eligible for this recognition! 

This award considers sales, staff qualifications, contribution to the community, education facility, merchandising and progressive business focus among the criteria. 

We are proud to be consistently moving up in the rankings, having been honored as #90 in 2008!

National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM)

Russ Beacock, President of Beacock Music, served on the board of directors for NAMM, (International Music Products Association) through 2008.  This is our industry’s largest  trade group.  Russ, Gayle Beacock, (Vice President of the company and his sister!) and several staff members attend this convention twice a year!  Our January Convention is in Anaheim, California, and boasts over 85,000 participants.  In July, we meet in Nashville, TN where close to 60,000 members convene.

We learn from each other and discover the latest products to offer you, our customer! We work hard to be YOUR music store!

RETAIL PRINT MUSIC DEALERS ASSOCIATION

Gayle Beacock is currently Vice President of Retail Print Music Dealers Association (RPMDA).  Focusing on ‘everything print,’ RPMDA members gather once a year to talk and learn about the print music industry. 

We share our ideas regarding Music Education, merchandising and music advocacy as well!  Gayle will be President in 2010 and 2011.

National Association of School Music Dealers

Beacock Music has been a member of National Association of School Music Dealers (NASMD) since 1984. Russ currently serves  on the board of directors. Russ Beacock and Gayle Beacock and School Services Director Phil Hodapp will attend this year’s convention in Tucson, AZ..

School Music is the heart of our company, and we love  bringing home fresh ideas to make our School Services Division the best around!

Music Industry Insights Group

In 1999, Beacock Music was invited to join a prestigious group of industry leaders.  The Music Industry Insights Group (MIIG) consists of 14 extraordinary music dealers representing the entire country! 

We gather twice a year and share ideas in our effort to continually improve and grow as a company. 

The knowledge we have gained from being invited into this group has been unimaginable!  The store you know today has evolved from many of the great ideas learned from our peers!

Gayle Beacock is a regular speaker at many conventions in the music industry.  Merchandising, music education, employee motivation, customer service, operations, and small business success are just a few of the topics she is frequently asked to explore.

Upbeat and positive, Gayle believes that it truly is the little things that make a difference between the extraordinary and mediocre. She loves ‘ spreading the gospel’ of hope to businesses and employees who may have misplaced their ‘zing!’ NAMM University, RPMDA, NASMD, MIIG, Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, and others have enabled Gayle to speak about her passions: music and business!
