Paul Cline
Donate to the Rustvold MusicForLive Foundation in Paul Cline's name. As a life-long member of the community, Daryle crossed paths frequently with Beacock Music in pursuit of passion for music. To honor, share and grow this passion for others in the community, his daughters have established this collaborative scholarship with Beacock Music in his memory.
Through it, we hope the sound music will fill your soul and warm your heart for life.
Paul Cline established a 31-year musical legacy at Woodland High School that earned him a place as one of the area’s most well-known and respected directors. He was reputed, everywhere he went, not only to bring with him bands of an excellent quality, but also to always carry with him a smile and air of positivity. He truly loved music and truly loved people, always searching for and finding the absolute best in his students and the people around him. He had a particular talent for making everyone that he encountered feel just a little bit better about themselves in the aftermath of crossing paths with him. After his celebrated retirement, Paul went on to continue his contributions to young musicians, acting as a clinician and adjudicator at festivals and substitute teacher in the area until he lost his battle to pancreatic cancer on April 24th, 2025. Above all else, Paul’s warmth of character and fierce desire to make those around him feel seen and appreciated will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His family has requested that contributions that might otherwise go toward flowers, meals services, or gifts for the family, be donated instead, to continue to give additional opportunities for young musicians who might not otherwise be able to afford them.
