This used mandolin is in good cosmetic and playing condition. It includes a chipboard case.
The 8-string Applause MAE148 Mandolin features a roundback design, a spruce top with custom Mando-Quintad bracing to give it more punch and projection whether you're strumming or crosspicking and a satin-finished nato neck with a rosewood fretboard. An Op-14 preamp with volume control, Pre-Shape on/off button and a 3-band EQ helps you fine-tune your tone when plugged in, and the built-in pickup is 12dB hotter than normal pickups. Besides the unique shape of the Ovation headstock, what really makes this mandolin stand out from the crowd visually is the multi-soundholes on the upper and lower bouts with exotic hardwood epaulets that give off the impression of multi-colored leafs.
