The Brightest. The Most Powerful.

The Most Complete Alto Mouthpiece We’ve Ever Made.

The JodyJazz QUASAR™ Hard Rubber is the most powerful and energetic Alto saxophone mouthpiece we have ever designed. Built by harnessing advanced physics, precision aerodynamics, and innovative design, the QUASAR™ delivers explosive projection, effortless response, and a sound that is both brilliant and full. This is not brightness for brightness’ sake. This is power with depth.

Vibra Table™ Technology (Patent-Pending)

At the heart of the QUASAR™ is our Patent Pending Vibra Table, designed to increase reed vibration and efficiency.

Precision indentations reduce mass in the table, allowing the reed to vibrate more freely. This creates:

• Faster response
• Greater dynamic range
• Increased power with less effort
• The mouthpiece feels alive under the reed.

Power That Has Dimension

Many bright mouthpieces sacrifice mids and bottom, resulting in a thin, two-dimensional sound. QUASAR™ solves this problem with our bullet chamber design, which adds body, warmth, and harmonic richness beneath the brilliance.

The result is a sound that cuts effortlessly — yet remains full, grounded, and musical.

Tip Openings & Reed Recommendations

Because of the high baffle and short facing curve, most players will comfortably play:

• One size larger tip opening than usual
• Softer reeds than they typically use

That’s why the QUASAR™ line begins at size 6 and tops out at 9* (.105″).

JodyJazz QUASAR™ Alto Available Tip Openings

• 6 = .078
• 7 = .083
• 8 = .090
• 9* = .105
