FAQs:
How musically advanced are the participants?
Great question! We have people who have been playing for years, and just a few months. We do ask that people have a basic knowledge of their instrument. Songs are chosen in advance to give attendees time to practice.
I'm a drummer, do I need to bring a drumset?
You do not! The Jam Night is held in the Recital Hall, and there is a complete kit setup for the drummers.
I'm a singer, do I need to bring a mic?
You do not! We will have mics here for you to use, already setup.
I'm a guitar/bass player, what do I need to bring?
Ideally, you would bring your own guitar/bass, amp, cable, and pick. However, we are a full-line music store, so you are able to borrow one if needed.
I'm not sure this is the right fit for me, can I sit in on one?
Absolutely! Come by and check it out, no pressure!
How old do I need to be?
We do ask that anyone under 14 call and speak with the Education Center before booking/attending.
I have some great song ideas, would you consider adding them to a future Jam Night?
Absolutely! Email any song ideas (or other ideas) to the Education Center, edcenter@beacockmusic.com. The songs are chosen by a panel, and they always welcome suggestions.
I decided at the last minute to attend, is that ok?
Absolutely! You can book up until the moment of the Jam Night.
