Summer Reading Session 2024

Summer Reading Session 1: July 30th - Aug. 1st at Mt. Hood Community College (hosted by Danielle Davey)

Beacock Music and Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) are excited to welcome you to MHCC for a 3-day new music reading session held Tuesday, July 30th - Thursday, August 1st. Additionally, Beacock Music and Alfred Music have teamed up to send composer/clinician Chris Bernotas to MHCC, where all participants will learn directly from him about his music and his highly successful Sound Innovations books.

The goal of this event is to read new concert band and jazz band music at all grade levels, while also highlighting works by Northwest composers. This event is open to all band directors and music education students. For more information and a tentative schedule, please visit here.

Price: $25 per day. Music education students can attend for free, but are expected to volunteer at the session. Register here.
