Chris has been a musician for over thirty years. He has a BA in Music Education from Azusa Pacific University and has toured the US and Canada, performing in multiple music disciplines.
Chris teaches Guitar, Piano, and Voice. His goal is to help his students develop a passion for music, an understanding of music theory, music performance, self-discipline, and self-confidence. A typical lesson is split between music theory and song work, but may also include music writing, learning improvisation, and note and chart reading.
Chris composes music in several styles including Electronic Fusion, Rock, CCM, and others. He is the author of six books under the pen name C. R. Watson and is the senior writer and music reviewer for Worshipleader Magazine. Chris studied Worship Arts at Dallas Theological Seminary and has led worship in churches from Texas to Los Angeles and the Pacific Northwest.
